Enabling the Act On It Message Inbox

The Message Inbox is Act On It's unique notification console. It can be added to the utility bar of any lightning application in Salesforce. The inbox keeps everyone informed and productive. It empowers professionals to respond promptly, meet SLAs, and improves sales and service efficiency.

To enable the Message Inbox for your lightning applications:

  1. Navigate to your Lightning app in Setup > Apps > App Manager > [Your App]
  2. Select "Utility Items" then "Add Utility Item"
  3. Search for "ActOnItMessageInbox"
  4. Configure the settings as needed:

Settings

Description

Open on Page Load

Automatically opens inbox when users visit the app or login, if new messages exist

Message Limit

Maximum messages shown before "Show More" appears

Allow Hide All

Lets users close all visible messages at once

Enable Mute Messages

Let users set the inbox to quiet mode.

Show Status

Enables users to set "Available" or "Unavailable" status
