Act On It

Engagement Reporting - Message Analytics

Act On It enables you to track every alert, notification, prompt and message sent to your users in real-time. You can monitor who was notified, when, the actions taken in response, and the response times. The key is unlocking the full picture so you can continuously improve engagement, productivity, and results across the organization. 


Monitoring Message Performance

From the Messages tab in the Act On It lightning application, you'll find a record of every message displayed or delivered to your users via one of Act On It's unique messaging channels:

Selecting a message will reveal the underlying reportable tracking data:

Field

Details

Owner

The recipient of the message.

Delivery Date/Time

The date/time the message was delivered.

Message Received Date/Time

The date/time the message was first viewed.

Last Viewed

The date/time the message was last viewed.

Source

The origin of the alert or prompt message.

Type

The type of message: Prompt (Guidance Prompt) or Alert (Notification).

Message

The core message.

Display Location

Where the message is displayed (inbox, guidance console or both).

Message Type

A link to the Message Type configuration.

Message Automation

A link to tyhe Message Automation configuration. 

Status

The current status of the message:


  • Open - Open and visible.
  • Unread - Delivered, but not yet received.
  • Closed - User closed/cleared the message.
  • Opted Out - User opted out.
  • Snoozed - User snoozed message.
  • Completed - Executed a completion action.
  • Bounced - Never Delivered
  • Expired - Received and expired.
  • Missed - Delivered, but expired before being read.



Enabling Activity Tracking
Enable tracking for activities like case milestone completion, record ownership changes, and more when configuring your Message Type:

Once enabled, Act On It will automatically record the activity when it is executed by the user. Activities can be accessed via the "Activities" related list for the relevant alert or prompt message:

Field

Details

Owner

The activity record owner. This will always be the alert or prompt recipient for message activities.

Message

A link to the related alert or prompt message.

Action Name

The name of the action executed.

Action

A link to the related action.

Record Id

The Id of the related Salesforce record.

Related Record Type

The data type of the related record.

Record Creation Date/Time

The date/time the related record was created.

Record Link

A link to the related record.

Executed By

The first user to execute the activity.

Last Executed By

The last user to execute the activity.

Completed Date/Time

The date/time the activity was completed.

Last Executed Date/Time

The date/time the activity was last executed.

Time Since Record Creation

How long after the related record creation date/time was this activity completed.


With "Message" and "Activity" data, you can analyze delivery and engagement rates over time to continually optimize prompts and alerts for maximum visibility and business impact.

To get you started, Act On It includes some pre-built reports, which you can access via the reports tab:

  1. Navigate to "Reports".
  2. Select "All Folders".
  3. Select the folder titled "ActOnIt".
