Quick Create
Quick Create actions enable users to generate records with a single click. Ideal for swiftly logging templated activities, tasks, and service cases.

Quick Create actions can be manually executed or automatically triggered upon alert delivery. See "Creating Engaging Interactive Messages with Act On It > Message Actions" for details.
To create a 'Quick Create' action, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the ‘Message Actions’ Tab (Act On It Lightning App > Application Settings > Message Actions) and click ‘New’.
- Select the ‘Act On It Template’ Record Type, choose 'Quick Create' from the available Action Templates, and select 'Next'.

Configure your action button with the following details:
- Action Label: Provide a meaningful name for the action (e.g. ‘Create follow up task’, 'Log a voicemail activity', ‘Submit a Support Request’, etc.). Customize the button further by selecting an icon from the ‘Icon Selection’ section.
- API Name: Choose a unique name for the action, without spaces or special characters (except underscores). This name distinguishes between similar actions with a matching label.
- Is Active: If inactive, the button will be disabled for all new and existing messages.
- Is Available: If enabled, the Message Action will be visible in the Message Type Builder.

Click 'Next' to proceed.
Record Create Settings:
- Choose a type of record to create e.g. Case, Lead or Task.
- [Optional] Assign a "Recipient Id Field" to link the newly created record to the recipient of the message via your chosen lookup field. If the action is used for a message with multiple recipients, a separate record will be created for each recipient.
- [Optional] Assign a "Record Id Field" to link the newly created record to the message's related record. If the action is used for a message with multiple records, a separate record will be created for each message record.
- Define your action's compatibility. For example, you can choose to only make the action available for Case alerts or Opportunity alerts. If you have assigned a "Record Id Field" in the previous step, compatible record types are automatically determined based on that selection.

Click 'Next' to proceed.
- Choose a field to set it's value.
- Specify the field's value.
- If a "Record Id Field" is set in step [3], you can choose "Parent Field Value" as the "Value Type". This will allow you to reference parent fields for copying parent details to the newly created record. For example, copying an Opportunity's "ContactId" to a new Task's "WhoId" field.
- Click "Submit" to confirm your changes.
- Repeat steps [6] through [9] for each field.
- Provide a custom message to display to the user when the record is created successfully.

After completing this step, click 'Save'. Your Message Action is now ready to be applied to any Message Type with a matching data type. Admins have control over which actions are accessible to users via their User Settings.
