Release Version 4.47
We’re excited to introduce Version 4.47, packed with new enhancements to streamline your workflow and improve communication. Here’s a breakdown of what’s new:
New Notification Settings for Click-Through Efficiency
We’ve added two new notification settings designed to reduce clicks and improve efficiency:
Close Message on Click-Through
When enabled, a message will automatically close (and move to the recycle bin) as soon as the user clicks through to the related record. This ensures that notifications serve as a launchpad for action—without cluttering your inbox.
Close Inbox on Click-Through
If enabled, the notification inbox will automatically collapse once a user clicks through to a record. This prevents any obstruction to the full record view and enhances user focus.
These settings make it easier to navigate notifications without unnecessary manual cleanup.
Canceling Notifications with Flow
With this release, we've introduced the ability to cancel notifications using Salesforce Flow. This unlocks greater flexibility, allowing admins to dynamically manage notifications based on changing conditions. Learn more about how this feature works here.
Expanded Chatter @Mention Notifications
Previously, only users who were directly @mentioned in a Chatter post would receive a notification. Now, the creator of a thread will automatically receive alerts whenever someone comments—even if they are not explicitly mentioned.
This ensures that original posters stay informed and never miss an important reply, improving collaboration and engagement.
Support for Field Service Lightning (FSL) Mobile App
We’ve expanded mobile notification support! You can now choose whether to push messages to:
✔ The Field Service Lightning (FSL) mobile app
✔ The standard Salesforce mobile app
This enhancement allows managers of field teams to send timely updates—such as status changes, new work assignments, or timesheet reminders—directly to their mobile workforce. With this, field teams stay informed, connected, and responsive throughout their day.
Enhancements to the Announcement Feature
The announcement feature now allows you to attach a record to a mass message. This makes it easier to broadcast key updates while linking important resources, such as knowledge articles, files
and reports. Simply use a lookup field when configuring your push message to include a relevant record. This ensures that targeted users not only receive the message but also have direct access to supporting information.
These updates are designed to make notifications more powerful and efficient, helping you stay focused and connected. As always, we’d love your feedback—reach out to our support team if you have any questions!
