Act On It

Release Version 4.53

We’re pleased to roll out Version 4.53, featuring improved visibility into Chatter updates and powerful new control for Flow builders managing notifications.

See When Chatter Posts Are Updated

Previously, users would receive Chatter notifications for posts and comments—but there was no way to tell if the content had been edited.

Now, we’ll append an update symbol to any notification triggered by an edited post or comment. This helps users immediately recognize that the content has changed, without needing to compare it manually.

Clearer communication, with no extra effort.

Close Notifications on Your Terms with Flow

Now you can query and close notifications directly in Flow using our new Close Notification Messages action.

Perform a Get Records on Sent Messages, then pass them into this new action to automatically close messages that are no longer relevant. Only the messages you specify will be closed—no searching or filtering required.

Once closed, the messages are removed from inboxes within moments, keeping everything clean and focused. Read more about this feature here.

Flip Notification Sort Order

Need to catch up on older messages? You can flip the sort order in your inbox to show notifications from oldest to newest. It’s a handy way to work through messages in the order they were received. Especially when following up on earlier conversations.

By default, your inbox shows the newest messages first, so you always see the latest updates right away. And don’t worry, if any new messages come in, the sort order will automatically snap back to ‘newest first’ to make sure you don’t miss a thing.

Try combining this with filters like ‘Customer Reply’ to quickly get to the oldest responses and start clearing your queue from the bottom up.
