Before users can access Act On It features such as the Message Inbox and push notifications, they must be assigned an Act On It user license in Salesforce.
Only Salesforce Administrators can assign or remove licenses.
How to Assign Act On It User Licenses
Step 1: Open Setup
- In Salesforce, click the βοΈ Gear icon
- Select Setup

Step 2: Go to Installed Packages
- In the Quick Find search box, type Installed Packages
- Click Installed Packages
Step 3: Open Act On It
- Locate Act On It in the list of installed packages
- Click Manage Licenses next to the package name

Step 4: Add Users
- Click Add Users
- Select one or more users you want to assign a license to
- Click Add


The selected users now have access to Act On It.
Removing an Act On It License
If a user no longer requires access:
- Go to Setup β Installed Packages
- Open Manage Licenses for Act On It
- Select the user
- Click Remove License
Access to Act On It will be removed immediately.
Best Practices
- Assign licenses only to users who need Act On It notifications
- Remove licenses from inactive or departing users
- Review license usage periodically to stay within limits
