The Message Inbox is Act On It’s unique push-notification console, available directly in the utility bar of any Salesforce Lightning app. It keeps users informed and productive by collecting everything that needs attention into a single, actionable inbox within Salesforce.

To add the inbox to your lightning applications:
Settings | Description |
Start automatically | Important! - This option must be selected for Act On It to load on page open and receive notifications properly. |
Open on Page Load | Automatically opens inbox when users visit the app or login, if new messages exist |
Message Limit | Maximum messages shown before "Show More" appears |
Allow Hide All | Lets users close all visible messages at once |
Enable Mute Messages | Let users set the inbox to quiet mode. |
Recycle Bin Retention Period | The number of days messages will remain accessible from the recylcle bin after closure. |
Show Status | Enables users to set "Available" or "Unavailable" status |
⚠️ If Start Automatically is unchecked, Salesforce will only load the inbox after a user manually clicks it— causing notifications to be missed.
