What You Can Change Safely
You may customise the following without impacting functionality:
- Logos, colours, and fonts
- Layout and spacing
- Button styling and labels
- Static copy
- Additional static HTML (such as footers or disclaimers)
These changes allow you to align the email with your organisation’s branding.
What You Should Not Change
To ensure Act On It email alerts continue to function correctly, do not:
- Remove, rename, or replace Act On It merge fields
- Change the Related Entity Type (must remain
Message) - Modify or remove the dynamic subject merge field
- Remove hidden reference fields used for tracking
- Convert the template to a different template type
Altering these elements may prevent emails from sending or displaying correctly.
