Getting started with Act On It is simple. The app is free to install, so you can try it out at no cost, and you'll have your first alert up and running in minutes.
To install Act On It, visit our listing on the Salesforce AppExchange. Select "Get It Now" to install into your production environment, or "Try It" to explore the app in a Sandbox or Test Drive environment.
We recommend starting with a Sandbox installation so you can evaluate Act On It within your own Salesforce org, test its functionality, and ensure it works seamlessly with your existing customizations before deploying to production.
Fill in the requested details and click "Continue to Installation":
Click "Login & Install", then sign in to the Salesforce org where you want to install Act On It.
Make sure you're logging in to the correct environment (Sandbox or Production) before continuing.
On the Salesforce installation screen:
Installation typically takes around 5 minutes. Salesforce will send you an email once the process is complete.
Once installation is complete, Act On It is ready to configure.
You can review Salesforce's Post-Installation Steps for additional guidance, but there's no need to manually assign permission sets at this stage.
Act On It handles permission set assignments automatically when you configure User Types later in the setup process.
Once you've successfully installed Act On It, continue through the Getting Started guide to configure users and incorporate Act On It into your Lightning applications.
